What type of work and projects can you expect to be involved in, and what does the role look like?

An MBB Graduate will get to work on some of the largest infrastructure projects in Australia. For the first few months you will be learning about MBB. This will include a significant amount of training, shadowing projects and supporting bids. Then you will start to be embedded on a project, what you will be doing on that project will depend on the nature of our engagement.

What does a typical day in the life of an MBB Graduate look like?

Everyday is different, although as told by a recent graduate, Megane Ah Teck:

A typical day involves a blend of productivity, collaboration, and camaraderie. Mondays bring the entire office together for a coffee catch-up, setting a positive tone for the week. On Fridays, we gather for a team lunch, which is always a great way to bond and wrap up the week on a high note.

As a graduate, I benefited from the opportunity to shadow a project engagement early on. This experience familiarised me with client expectations and equipped me with essential skills for my role in providing project management support for a major defence project in Australia.

I really value our daily internal project team catch-ups. These meetings help us track each other’s progress and ensure that our efforts are aligned, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency. They are essential in making each day not only productive but also genuinely enjoyable.

What are some examples of projects that previous grads have worked on?

Recent projects that MBB Graduates have worked on include the Torrens to Darlington project, work for the BOWE (Bass Offshore Wind Energy) project, and for clients such as the State Tolling Corporation, Port of Melbourne and Tilt Renewables.

What will the graduate induction look like?

Graduate induction will take place in our Melbourne office across 3 days starting on a Tuesday. During this time you will have an in-depth introduction to MBB and meet some of our senior leaders in the business.
