Bradfield will be Australia’s newest city and is set to be the ‘next jewel in Sydney’s crown.’ The new Aerotropolis will support thousands of jobs on the doorstep of the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. The Final Business Case (FBC) for Bradfield City First Stage Enabling Works included a program of works: public infrastructure, targeted private land acquisitions as well as amenities and place making features; critical to kick-start the development of Bradfield City Centre and attract high value industries.
In June 2021 post FBC submission, the NSW Government committed $1.15 billion to commence work on the Bradfield City Centre enabling works to establish, remediate and allow site access to about 114 hectares of land, driving the COVID-19 economic recovery not only in NSW, but across the nation. The funding has allowed the Authority to explore new business models for utilities, developing a multi-utility servicing concept design and commercial options for the City.
