Setting the schedule for one of SA’s largest mines
Located 472 kilometres north-west of Adelaide, Carapateena is part of BHP’s Minerals Australia operations. The mine produces copper concentrate and is one of the largest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade, processing over 4.25 million tonnes of ore per annum.
Our role
MBB specialists were engaged to develop the Class 4 Schedule in line with the Project Manager and Supervisor estimations. Our controls specialist also provided planning support to the Construction Manager and relevant supervision for the construction of above ground and underground equipment, as well as a construction camp.

We also provided planning, delivering a level 2 schedule with contracting and construction methodology. This included:
