Northern Water Supply (SA)

Developing a single integrated reporting solution

The Northern Water (NW) project will provide a new, climate independent water source for the Far North, Upper Spencer Gulf and Eastern Eyre Peninsula regions of South Australia, to enable the growth of industries crucial to achieving net-zero goals, including emerging green energy and hydrogen.

The project has undergone a Machinery of Government change, with delivery ownership transferring from Infrastructure South Australia to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DiT). As part of the transition, DiT is conducting an independent review to gain a full view of the current state of all aspects of the project and assess the appropriateness of management artefacts in place, progress, industry perceptions, and key risks and issues.
