First Building – Bradfield City Centre (NSW)

The First Building project is approximately $72.5m in value and consists of 2 Levels of Workplace and an Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility, as well as surrounding landscaping and civil works. The First Building, as its name suggests will be the first construction project on the greater Bradfield City Development site. The building has some unique components to promote its connection to country and sustainability, including:

• Glazed Façade
• Rammed Earth Walls
• Green Roof
• Aiming for 6 star Green Star and living building challenge certification.

Our role

MBB Group were initially engaged by WPCA to assist them in the management of the State Significant Development Application (SSDA), design development, development and endorsement of budget, pre-tender estimates, compilation of tender documentation (incl. GC21 DF&C), management of the tender process and delivery of the project. Additionally, MBB Group managed the Cost Report and Master Program development, Design Finalisation and Site Establishment preparation with Taylor and PWA, SSDA pre-commencement conditions, ESD tracking, Hitachi design review and approvals from authorities (FRNSW, EE, Sydney Water).
