To commemorate International Women’s Day, the MBB team embraced the theme #GiveToGain in the most meaningful way – by giving our time, words, and support to women who need it most.

Last week, each one of our national offices hosted morning teas where staff wrote handwritten cards of encouragement for local women’s shelters. These cards will be included in the ‘basic need boxes’ for women and children arriving with very little – a small gesture to remind them they are seen, valued, and not alone.

To make each message more meaningful, we also collected gift cards to help families purchase everyday essentials as they rebuild their lives. Because when we give – even in small ways – we all gain. 

Around the country we supported the following charities, all doing great things to help women in need.
