Proudly Presenting MBB’s Reflect RAP
Apr 30 , 2025
Our RAP reflects a willingness to seek new perspectives.
One of the highlights of last month was the publication of the MBB Group Reflect RAP.
The Reconciliation Action Plan, championed by CEO Matthew Brook, is the first step in a longer process and the result of a series of engaging and collaborative meetings between MBB leaders and First Nations leaders, notably the leaders of the Indigenous Defence and Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC). We remain grateful for their input.
As Matthew Brook noted, “This is an important step for us, and for the ongoing evolution of our relationship with First Nations people.”
The most visible part of the RAP launch was the unveiling of a unique, bespoke artwork, commissioned by MBB for the RAP.
The artwork – ‘Outer Circle’ by Eastern Arrernte artist, Pat Caruso, Founder and Director of We Create Print Deliver – talks to the connection between leaders and change makers from MBB and First Nations organisations. It shows the spheres of influence they create and a reminder of how our actions impact people far beyond our immediate sphere of influence.
Filled with layers of meaning, from the friendship between two leaders at the heart of the process, to the safe spaces where reconciliation starts and truth telling can be done. Then stretching out into broader community ties, industry and relationships – all with friendship at the centre of the story.
RAP Champion, Matthew Brook again, “Working together with First Nations communities and organisations via a meaningful, authentic and collaborative process will help us break down barriers and exceed the needs of our clients, whilst achieving our personal and company success.”
The artwork is a visual representation of MBB’s own reconciliation journey, seeking to build and solidify relationships with First Nations people in the MBB Network, to honour the commitments we make in our RAP, to build communities and promote greater understanding among the people in our circle.
MBB prides itself on a philosophy of exploring innovative ways to solve complex problems and achieve success for our clients and partners. The Reconciliation Journey, and this Reflect RAP, provides new perspectives which can be applied to projects and challenges to benefit communities in obvious and not so obvious ways.
